What is Fact Monster?
Fact Monster is a great site that any person could use to find information on many topics and more specifically, science. The site is a great learning tool that provides games, facts, and pictures. Fact Monster is a site dedicated to helping children learn in a fun and factful way. The site contains many references to help further find information such as an almanac, atlas, Colombia Encyclopedia, and a Dictionary. It is a great tool to use for its variety of resources. It also has quizzes, games, crosswords, and flashcards as more tools to understand and learn the content. Not only is this site very benefiticial for learning, it also it a site where children can go to play games and have fun. The site has many extra features such as the monster poll,spelling bee, timelines, and ask the fact monster. Fact Monster is also very benefiticial for learning because it has the homework center. The homework center has many topics and content areas that are used in schools and learning and provides resources, tools, and practice for anyone wanting to learn more and practice the content.

Ways in which Fact Monster could be used in the Elementary Classroom:
1.) Fact Monster is great for content specific assignments. A way that this site can be used in the classroom is for classroom practice on a certain subject matter. Since there are many activities, quizzes, and games on Fact Monster for each content and subject area, the teacher can go through some of these with the class and do the activities together. This is a great way for teachers to interact with their students and see how much information they understand.
2.) Another way Fact Monster could be used is as a resource tool for group projects. Fact Monster can be the site where students doing a group project on a subject such as science can use for facts and information. They can also get maps, charts, and pictures for their subject as well. Fact Monster would be a great tool for groups to use to find information and explore that information as well as using the resources provided on Fact Monster such as the Dictionary and Encyclopedia.
3.) Fact Monster can also be used for homework assignments. Students could be assigned to explore and use the homework center on Fact Monster to find any information on a subject that the students are unsure about and also they could do practice skills using the crossword, flashcards, games, and more.
