      This educational app is used to foster literacy in preschool/ pre-k. With visual and auditory cues it enhances fine motor coordination by having the child trace letters, numbers, shapes, and words. There is an easy mode where it is impossible to go outside of the lines and a hard mode for organic writing. This application also integrates repetition, validation, spelling, as well as visual and word support - such as connecting the letter A to an alligator.  This app can be used to enhance literacy by helping kids learn their letters, how to form their letters, and eventually how to write words by putting the letters together. We would incorporate this into a print awareness lesson. We would introduce a new letter everyday, put this application up on the smart board and have students trace the letter and get the extra practice. Another use for this app would be applying this at home to help jump start concepts introduced in kindergarten.
