Podbean Podcast is a website where students can create or listen to their own Podcasts or Podcasts created by others.

                                                     2. Press Publish a Podcast, and it will take you to the dashboard page.

                                                     3. Then click on "Publish a New Show". This will take you to a page, where you can add your recording that is saved                                                           on your computer. You can add a video recording or a sound recording. You can also add writing to the page, if you                                                           want to explain to your listeners what your podcast is about. You can give your podcast a tag that way it is easily                                                           categorized and found.

                                                     4. Then press publish, and you created your first podcast!!

                                                     5. Then if you go back to your dashboard page, you can invite friends to listen to your podcast by entering their                                                           email.

To Listen to a Podcast

You can search by category or in the search engine for a podcast you might enjoy. Once you find the one you want to listen too, you can click on it and listen to it. Some Podcasts include video you can watch.

Using Podbean in the Classroom

Using Podbean in the classroom is a good way to have English language learners practice speaking English, and practice listening to others speak English. Students could create a podcast on a topic, and practice talking in English. Then students could listen to a friends in the class and write a summary of what they listened too.

Also, a teacher could bring in podcasts to their lessons by having students listen to a podcast on a certain topic. If a teacher is doing a science unit, they could include a science podcast with their lesson this could help English Language learners with developing the concept by listening or watching someone else explain it. Also, listening for vocabulary words is another good way for ESL students to understand a concept. Podcasts for different topics are included below.

Introducing Podcasts to your students, may be something they will take interest in, and develop further outside the classroom. This would be a neat hobby for them to enjoy, and help practice their language skills.
