Geography - SmartBoard

Page history last edited by Mia Kim Williams 13 years, 9 months ago

The use of SMARTboard in the classroom can add visual and auditory images to any and all lesson plans.  It provides the ab

lity to access images that far surpass anything that the typical classroom teacher can sketch on the chalk or marker board to illustrate a point. The SMARTboard can almost instantaneously bring thoughts to light. . .

The concept of "Where in the world is......?" can be become a clear visual example in an instant, using the SMARTboard.  Maps of anywhere and everywhere can appear, and be manipulated, at the touch of a fingertip, in large, colorful detail.  Students at all grade levels will enjoy the ability to interact with the information and images on the SMARTboard screen.  Creativity can be encouraged, (or if someone gets a little too creative, it can be undone with a broad stroke of the hand on the same screen).

For instance, a U.S. geography lesson can become a game of fun and friendly competition by using SMARTboard's touch-and-drag feature. . .
